LOVE GOD. LOVE EACH OTHER. SERVE THE WORLD.
Our Core Values
The Brunswick Church of Christ family values;
- Walking By Faith Passionately
- BCC is made up of members who have taken and continue to take radical steps of faith in Jesus name!
- The orginal church-starting team moved long distances away from their families to begin the Brunswick Church of Christ family.
- Members of BCC
have
- Quit jobs to better fulfill their calling
- Boldly cut off sinful areas of their lives
- Shared their faith boldly at work, at home and in the community
- Stuck with each other in the ups and downsof faith. This has resulted in deeper, more fulfilling, more loving relationships than could have been formed otherwise.
- Members of BCC passionately believe that Christ's church was meant to be family and try to live that out meaningfully.
- Living Simply
- BCC is a simple church who desires a simple life.Their worship is simple, their ministries are simple and their lives are simple.
- They are not drawn to flash, fame or fortune. They are common people with an uncommon purpose.
- They resist the tendency to fill their lives with numerous activities. Instead, they are committed to focusing their time and energy on those things that will truly foster the spiritual health and vitality of the next generation.
- Building Genuine Christian Community
- Members of BCC love to watch God develop and grow genuine Christian community among them!
- They love to nurture those aspects of their personal lives which foster the building of relationships in the immediate and church family as well as in their community
- They diligently strive for “the unity of the Spirit” (Eph. 4:3) among themselves and believe that God will stretch and grow them as Christians only in so far as they are willing to let themselves be known to others.
- They are committed to building families who build all of life around Jesus (see vision statement).
- Serving Sincerely
- Members of BCC are passionate about serving people!
- They are committed to imitating Jesus on earth by living to “serve, not be served” (Mt.20:28).
- Members of BCC are committed to finding ways to express their faith in their community.
- Members of BCC want “all people to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4) but will serve even those who do not want to.
- Since they cannot serve everybody member of BCC continuously ask themselves, “who needs to be served the most?”
- Transforming Daily
- Members of BCC are never too confident to think that they do not have a long way to go in becoming like Jesus.
- Jesus is "the image of the invisible God" (Col.1:15). "In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" (Col.2:9). Members of BCC love Jesus so much that they desire daily, even hourly, transformation in order to please Him more fully!
- Members of BCC believe that a "life built around Jesus" (see vision statement) is a never-ending journey that culminates in seeing Jesus face to face
